What Happens When You Call
Your call is answered 7 days a week. You will be asked four things: where the water is, where it came from if you know, whether the source has been stopped, and where in Sherman the property is. With those answers, we connect you with an independent local contractor whose work matches the problem, extraction for standing water, sewage cleanup for a backup, drying for a room that will not dry. The contractor then arranges the visit with you directly, assesses the damage at the property, and gives you the estimate. The referral itself is free, and you are under no obligation to proceed with any contractor you are connected with.
Before You Call, If You Safely Can
- Stop the water, the fixture valve or the home's main shutoff, if you know where it is and can reach it without standing in water near electrics.
- Note the source as best you can: burst pipe, appliance, drain backup, storm water. 'Unknown' is a perfectly usable answer.
- Photograph the damage from the doorway, wide shots first, then details. It takes two minutes and anchors any insurance claim.
- Move what is movable out of the wet area: rugs, boxes, furniture on blocks. Leave demolition and wall-opening to the assessment.
Where The Service Covers
All of Sherman, in both residential ZIP codes, 75090 (downtown, the courthouse square, the Austin College area, East Sherman, and the south end of the Texoma Parkway) and 75092 (West Sherman, Sunset Boulevard, Fairview Park, and the northern parkway). Addresses in neighboring towns sit outside the network's area; the service areas page lays the coverage out in full, area by area.
Contact Questions
What Will I Be Asked On The Call?
Where the water is, where it came from if you know, whether the source has stopped, and which part of Sherman the property is in. Four answers take two minutes and determine which contractor you are connected with. If you do not know where the water came from, say so, tracing it is part of the contractor's job.
Can I Contact You For A Property I Manage Rather Than Own?
Yes, landlords and property managers call regularly, particularly for Sherman's rental properties near Austin College and across town. If you are authorised to act for the property, the referral works exactly the same way.
Is There An Office I Can Visit?
No, this is a phone-based referral service with no walk-in office, and we would rather say so than publish an address that leads to a locked door. Everything the service does happens on the call and at your property, which is where the contractor meets you anyway.
